Monthly Restorative Yoga & Yoga Nidra

Restorative Yoga uses bolsters, blocks, and blankets to place the individual in a supported relaxed state. In this style of yoga the shapes are held for a long period of time to promote relaxation, like mini-meditations. Also, Restorative Yoga passively pumps the prana or life force through the body and promotes spine, shoulder, and hip alignment by stacking a heart opener shape before a supported forward fold.

Yoga Nidra, which is also called “Yogic Sleep” reduces stress, depression, anxiety and helps with self-induced insomnia by using breath awareness, relaxation and meditative techniques. “Jane’s voice during Yoga Nidra has a way of taking you to a place of calm, serenity that I have never felt before during a regular meditation,” remarks Sarah.
